Performance
The standard XLT is the six-cylinder 3.3-liter engine that capably delivers up to 290 horsepower. The accompanying six-speed automatic transmission enables drivers to choose between the Normal, Tow/Haul, or Sport modes. When equipped for hauling, the pickup tows up to 12,200 pounds. But, new Vincennes owners have multiple other options for power and performance.
The 2.7-liter turbocharged six-cylinder choice generates up to 325 horsepower. Depending on the cab style and the size of the bed, trucks equipped with the engine may deliver up to 12,200 pounds. The eight-cylinder, 5.0-liter engine provides up to 395 horsepower and capably tows up to 16,200 pounds. However, the 3.5-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine puts out up to 375 pounds and has the potential to haul up to 17,100 pounds.
Fans of diesel engines might choose the 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder that provides up to 250 horsepower. Surprisingly, the powertrain may also haul up to 17,100 pounds. The more powerful engines may be paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission that offers EcoSelect, Snow/Wet, Sport, and Tow/Haul modes. A four-wheel drive is an option.
Design
F-150 XLT pickups are available in regular, CrewCab or SuperCab and three different bed lengths. The attractive front end features a two-bar style chrome grille with a pair of black nostrils is embellished with the Ford emblem. C-shaped headlights and daytime running lights border each grille end. The bumper matches the grille in design and harbors optional fog lights. Black accents make the chrome that much more pronounced. The 17-inch painted silver wheels complete the look while driving around Jasper.
Technology
The standard technological features include powered door locks and windows, an eight-inch touchscreen on the infotainment system that integrates smartphone function via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Bluetooth converts the vehicle into a Wi-Fi hotspot. The USB port ensures mobile devices are ready to use around Lawrenceville.
