What's new for 2023?

The off-road-focused Rattler has been added to the F-150 lineup for the latest model year. It's based on the Ford XL FX4 and it adds unique 18-inch wheels, hill descent control, a dual-exhaust system, a special off-road suspension system and a locking rear differential. The new Ford Rattler is positioned to offer truck buyers around Vincennes and Jasper IN a more affordable option for those who aren't ready for the Tremor or Raptor model.

Trim levels in the 2023 Ford F-150

The Ford F-150 offers one of the widest ranges of price levels and feature packages of any full-sized truck. In fact, buyers in Loogootee and Lawrenceville IL have a total of nine trims to choose from:

  • XL
  • XLT
  • Rattler
  • Heritage Edition
  • Lariat
  • Tremor

Ford F-150 XL

Ford F-150 XL: Functional is the word to describe the base XL trim. Any driver looking for a simple work truck will be satisfied with the XL's straightforward design. With the 3.3-liter Ti-VCT V6, two-bar black grille, and standard Rear View Camera with Dynamic Hitch Assist, doing your work is easy.

Ford F-150 XLT

Ford F-150 XLT: The XLT picks up where the XL leaves off. The black grille upgrades to a stylish chrome grille and bumpers. It replaces the black vinyl flooring with carpet and adds a few standard technology upgrades like the SYNC® 3 infotainment system and FordPass Connect® with the Wi-Fi hotspot.

Ford F-150 Lariat

Ford F-150 Lariat: Another step up is made inside the Lariat trim with an interior that gives drivers the chance to enjoy an eight-inch productivity screen, leather-trimmed seating, 10-way power-adjustable front seats, SiriusXM radio - all with the power of the standard 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine.

Ford F-150 King Ranch

Ford F-150 King Ranch®: As the name implies, the King Ranch® displays a southwestern feel starting with a two-tone exterior display and color-coordinated floor mats. The inside reveals a standard heated steering wheel and rear seats, B&O™ Sound System, and voice-activated navigation with SiriusXM®.

Ford F-150 Platinum: Visibility is a plus in the Platinum trim with standard LED lights everywhere. Like the King Ranch®, the 5.0-liter Ti-VCT V8 is standard. Much remains the same regarding technology, with the safety bonus of the Blind Spot Information System and Cross-Traffic Alert.

Ford F-150 Limited: The Limited trim comes with an upgrade in the engine: the 450-horsepower 3.5-liter High-Output EcoBoost V6. There are also standard features from the Ford Co-Pilot360™ like Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go. You'll also find front seats capable of heating and cooling.

Ford F-150 Raptor

Ford F-150 Raptor: Say hello to the Raptor trim that can take you off-road. With a standard 4x4 driveline system, the same EcoBoost engine found on the Limited, multi-mode Terrain Management System™, Trail Control™ and a sport-style steering wheel, you can go where you want to go.

The new Ford F-150 starts in the mid-$30K range and topps out in the mid-$80K range. The F-150 can be ordered with a big variety of body styles and bed lengths. If you don't see what you like in our new inventory, you can custom order your new Ford.

Engines and performance

The F-150 for 2023 is available with multiple engines. You can get a 3.3-liter V6 with 290 horsepower, a 5.0 -liter V8 with 400 horsepower, a 2.7-liter V6 with 325 horsepower, a 3.5-liter V6 with 400 horsepower and a durable 3.0-liter diesel V6 for 250 horsepower.

Every Ford F-150 comes with a 10-speed automatic and a hybrid powertrain is offered for the first time generating 400 horsepower. Ford says the hybrid model will give you up to 700 miles of driving range on a single tank and it can also power an onboard generator to keep power flowing at your job site.

Towing and payload capacity

The 3.3-liter V6 can tow a maximum of 8,200 pounds. If you want the best towing capability that money can buy in a half-ton truck, get the twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 with 400 horsepower and watch it tow as much as 14,000 pounds. That's the best towing capability in the F-150's class. Payload capacity ranges from 1,840 pounds to 3,250 pounds.

Interior and infotainment technology

The new Ford F-150 can make things pretty fancy inside the cabin in the higher-end King Ranch, Platinum and Limited models. You can fold the 10-speed automatic shift lever down flat to create a mobile workspace. An 8-inch touch screen comes standard along with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ but you can upgrade to a 12-inch touch screen and a Bang & Olufsen stereo with 18 speakers.
